Go into you network settings and on network security make sure “store password for all users” is selected, click save, exit network settings and logoff or reboot to test.

Yea, network settings, select the network name, select the wi-fi security tab, and there’s a pull-down menu at the bottom, and one selection is “Store passwords for all users (not encrypted)”.

I bookmarked this. I plan a clean install of Tumbleweed for Plasma 6.0 and I will test this one for that.
