I have scaled my DE up by 132.5%, but even at 100% it does the same thing, be it on CachyOS, Fedora or openSUSE Tumbleweed.
There has to be a simple solution to this, it would be too much of a pity if it didn’t, since I do really like KDE Plasma.

No, this doesn’t help with the issue. But I’ve found the reason why. It’s a quirk of KDE Plasma.
When you snap the window to a “quarter” of the screen then it “keeps some room reserved” for all the other 3 quarters, so you can’t extend over them:
But you can also just directly snap it to one of the halves (can’t post more than one picture here)
