Why doesn't Krita advertise the Flatpak or the Snap?

Saw on YT a new update to Krita was pushed. It has some really cool new features (most notably, the text tool).

I use the Flatpak version, it has a Verified ‘tick’ and the publisher listed is “KDE”. Afaik Krita is made by KDE, so why isn’t it listed on krita.org if they maintain it? The Snap is older than the Flatpak, verified, and under the publisher “Stichting Krita Foundation (krita)”

Who maintain the Flatpak and Snap? Are they official? Why are they not on the same version? The official appimages for the new version are available for download from krita.org. They why haven’t the Flatpak and Snap been published yet? And why doesn’t krita.org promote them?

From the Download page on krita.org :

I guess the AppImage gets the big button, but the Flatpak and Snap are pretty clearly offered there too. (Albeit if you click through you find they’re still on 5.2.16.)

My bad. I went to this page and it only gives the appimages, probably because they’re created by Krita. As your image says, the flatpak and snap are community maintained.

Right, and also, that page is specifically the announcement of a new version.

On that page, you wouldn’t really want to link to the Flatpak or Snap if they haven’t yet been updated to that version.
