Recently I read LLM generated code is not accepted in KDE for ethical reasons. I highly agree with that decision and before LLMs are not designed in an ethical way (which is possible in my opinion, but we are far away from), I don’t want to see LLM code in free software - no matter if slop or not (especially not in main components).
Especially if it is backend code it should be trustworthy. But I opened this topic to get clarification. I don’t think (and hope) KDE implement it, but I know at least one news video that spoke about it is already implemented in kwin and a statement by KDE could be linked to those sources.
