Please, implement additional split window mode(s) (details on attached screenshot).
-
Additionally, think it over, how these mode(s) behave with the current Window sticky position at the moment of Split-mode selection.
Thank you,
I rely on your best opinion in implementation and your experience
Have you looked at Konqueror?
Some small settings tweaks to add the menu buttons, and the toggling on the sidebar:
Just tried. Good.
Crashed while first multi-split test (report sent)
KDE Neon Plasma Wayland 6.6.3, old video-card RS780 graphics
I would also like the option to add extra columns for list view, or vertical splits. Quite frequently I had to use two dual-pane Dolphin windows split top/bottom half of the screen.
This is the main reason I have Konqueror installed, with my workflow saved as a session to easily resume… but sadly that means also using a different workflow (lacking my comfortable Dolphin shortcuts and so forth).
and slight coloring background differentiation from folder to folder, huh? ![]()
(with Automatic/custom toggle)
That’s why konqueror/krusader exist where dolphin the usable-first option isn’t sufficient anymore.
konqueror can be improved with shortcuts…
