I wanted to ask if there are any steps I can take or ways to prevent the file generated by Kdenlive for projects from becoming so large (generating 15,000 lines per file) that when you try to open it, it crashes after a while.
I understand that this is due to a lack of threads, internal memory, or something else. It only does this when the project is large, and I have 32GB of RAM and AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The shared memory is 16GB, and even so, Kdenlive barely uses it. It loads up to 5GB in RAM when loading the project, but then it crashes and I have to pull backups to delete clips and so on.
As additional information, I use Manjaro Linux but I use Kdenlive under:
- AppImage version 25.08 (the latest version via Flatpak gave errors when recording audio with my microphone from the audio channel).
I have tried the Flatpak format, in the latest stable version. And nothing changes with it.
Thanks to all!
