Wrong Monitor placement on logon screen

Fedora 44 KDE desktop.

I have no idea if this is related to KDE, Plasma, Wayland or whatever (this stuff is waaaaay too complicated to understand), but here is the issue:

I have a laptop with an external monitor attached. The laptop sits to the right of the big monitor, so I have configured the display settings accordingly and that works just fine.

But, when I start the PC, it behaves as if the external display is on the other side. Not a big thing, but sometimes annoying when I want to enter my password looking at the big screen in front of me and I move the mouse the wrong way to get the pointer there.

Maybe there’s something that should be synchronized between user settings and system settings? Anyway, such a setting doesn’t make much sense to be user-specific, right?

Only until another user decides to prefer the laptop on another part / side of the desk (and the friendship ends probably fast :laughing: )

If you are the only user, and can get root privileges, sure you can synchronize between.
Not sure with the newish plasmalogin as I still use SDDM but “Apply Plasma settings” should probably be in the same “login screen” settings place.

I had seen that “Apply Plasma Settings” sometime before, but didn’t know what it meant, so I didn’t dare touching it (if it said “Apply current Plasma Settings for all users”, it would be clear).
