I’m an old guy, way beyond being called a boomer. Have been working with computers for 65 years, started in college before there was any sort of computer science curriculum.

Work took me into big iron, Univac, a little IBM, then into the world of Unix in 1985. Been there ever since. Experienced the Sun3 workstations, later HP, then Dec .

Retired, first time went out and bought a NeXT, was a believer for 10 years. Then into the Linux world with a Dell desktop that I could get pre-configured with RedHat Linux. From there adopted Fedora, called Fedora Core then.

It’s been a long walk.
