Ability to deprioritise certain applications in search results

When I search “KMail” in the application launcher, it seems to show the kmail import wizard before KMail until I enter the full word. Since there’s a delay before the search result switches, if I type KMail and press enter quickly it often launches the import wizard.

I can replicate this consistently and it doesn’t seem to be a one-off thing. Interestingly, the KRunner search doesn’t seem to have this issue. The import wizard always stays below KMail even if you have partially typed it.

I don’t know the extent to which distro / personal setup stuff has to do with this quirk (or if it’s just a bug), but it would be nice if there was a way to prioritise certain applications over others in search results specifically.

Also, SteamVR before Steam (in krunner, too ; until I deleted the SteamVR.desktop file -.-) and I’m sure there are more examples like that. On plasma 5 the first result was usually the one I was looking for - I suppose there was some mechanism that sorted results by last/most used. Would be nice to have that back.
