Activities shortcut

Hi,
I am using F42 KDE. I wanted to know if there are any shortcuts to move between activities and to move a window from one activity to another? I know this exists for virtual desktops, but I cannot figure out where/what the equivalent shortcuts are for activities. Meta+Q just brings up the activities sidebar, which is not what I was looking for. Can someone please point me in the right direction? Thank you.

There is a shortcut to walk through activities, by default bound to Meta+A or Meta+Shift+A to walk in reverse order. There is also switch to next and previous but aren’t bound to anything at least on my system.

Moving a window between activities is not implemented but you can try my third-party KWin script for that GitHub - luisbocanegra/kwin-window-activity-switcher: A KWin script to switch windows between activities using shortcuts

Maybe I should send a patch to have this upstream

Thank you so much, that is exactly what I was looking for! Awesome

You can also assign individual shortcuts for each activity in System Settings → Activities.

I have mine on Meta + F1/2/3/4

Thank you for advice! In my case, for F42 (fresh install), Meta+F1/2/3/4 are mapped to the taskbar’s pinned applications (in order) by default, so I have mine set to Ctrl+1/2/3

I only wish session restore would have the ability to remember which application/window was last open in which activity and restore accordingly. I hope that happens in future someday. For now, I have mapped specific applications to specific activities as a workaround. I am so happy I discovered KDE activities and I’m finally using it. It is really helpful for me.
