I do not known, what is the plan for activities.

I think people will need a way to fast move windows from previous activity + way to fast switch activities.

I know, there is move window to activity in topbar menu of window, but it is not exposed.

I think, if someone switch activity, there could be list of windows on previous activity, so user could brink selected windows to current activity.

And of course - can switch activities in this menu also.

So:

  1. I switch from work activity to entertainment activity
  2. I move my IM window to current desktop
  3. Coworkers list is also changed to my friends list

I find switching with keyboard shortcut quite fast.

At least in my usage scenarios I have rarely the need to “bring a window with me”.
Windows are either on multiple activities or even all, or really only on that one activity.

If your IM is regularly needed on multiple activities then you can just configure that.
I have KMail on all my activities and my work chat app on all work related activities.

For the last point it would be best if the app can either support multiple profiles or be activity aware itself.
