Add Standard Touchpad settings

New User here who came from Windows 11 and has had a bit of experience with Ubuntu.

Want to put up to have a default enable of the Touchpad “Tap”, instead of having to change the root files a bit, so it’ll be easier for non-techy people to use in general.

And consider adding in gesture swipes that are present on many other devices (this case, I’ve got the older model of the Lenovo Legion 5, but I do miss my gesture swipe of going back a page with two fingers), because it might also be quite irritating and to people who’re used to the function.

We have UI to change this setting (systemsettings > Input and Output > touchpad) and tap-to-click for touchpad has been the default behavior since KDE Plasma 6.

That is a reported bug: 402857 – Touchpad gestures should be configurable with a popular demand.

This might be handled as part of this.

That should be working out of the box. If it isn’t, perhaps you’re still using Xorg? These kinds of things are generallly not (well) supported in it.
