I love how Plasma offers users the ability to adjust mouse scroll speed. BUT, it doesn’t work well in games.
The question: is there a way to override scroll speed for specific apps? Or for all full-screened apps?
The reason:
in the game Hell Let Loose each physical scroll “tick” should (un)zoom the map by x1, but the map is (un)zoomed by x4 for each tick. Same for selecting various items from the HUD list - it skips 3-4 items. This is also the case in other games, but in this one, it just breaks the game mechanic so badly.
Now, in the Plasma settings app, I have set the scroll speed to the 8th notch (middle of the line) because that is the perfect speed for scrolling web pages. When I lower it to the 5th notch, the map zoom in the game works fine, but then it is so slow to scroll web pages.
This was not the case when I was using Windows: no matter how much I sped up the scroll, the games still registered each physical scroll tick as one step in a game.
