I would think that you have to log a bug report for Kdenlive since Shotcut is a different software maintained by a different team, and AFAIK there is no official collaboration between them …

oh dear - I’m afraid that’s a bit too much for me, even though I’ve done it from time to time.
I just tried, I don’t even know how to start a bug report anymore.
If you give me a few keywords, I can certainly make a bug report out of them. That would be very nice.
What’s so complicated about this topic? Simply state what’s wrong (.wav files with mono track only play in left channel), and refer to the Shotcut forum post about the same issue and that a fix is available there.
The Shotcut source is available on github, so the Kdenlive dev team can look it up.
