Allow editing own posts on this forum without time limit

I usually post something and soon or later find i need to fix something, but the post fails so be edited on this forum, which is causing waste of time for future readers who are reading outdated or wrong information.
So please allow users to edit their posts without time limit, or set the limit very high like lets say 3 months.

you will be granted edit privileges before too long… permissions are just limited on new accts to keep spam down.

I think the OP has edit privileges, but he complains they time out too early.

I was about to post this.

We post a reply and then a minute later want to add something but the forum doesn’t allow and says the ‘post is too old’.

We can post another reply but then people that are subscribed will get another notification. And most importantly, if we edit and the forum doesn’t allow and then we click ‘discard’, the whole post is deleted.
