Allow rearranging desktops from apps overview

It should be possible to rearrange desktops by drag and dropping the desktops in the apps overview

I like the idea. Have you also concidered rearanging the desktop from the pager in the taskbar ?

This remind me of this upcoming feature from the ElementaryOS project (see the Multitasking section)

I hadn’t thought of doing that for some reason, I’m not on KDE atm so I can’t test if that’s actually a thing or not.

Although I would prefer doing it from the overview as some might not have that widget in place, and it’s also just the same behavior as in Windows I assume?

I also know it’s possible to rearrange from that… second-overview thing? I don’t know what it’s called. But me and others did not know that you are supposed to click and drag the empty area’s to swap desktops around. And those that did figure out that you can drag the empty areas assumed that it wouldn’t swap the desktops, just move all of those dragged apps into another desktop.

What you’re referring to is the grid effect, and I agree, the rearrangement experience from the grid isn’t very intuitive. The animation makes it look like you’re moving all windows from that virtual desktop at once instead of rearranging the desktops.

+1 for the ability to rearrange from the overview effect
