Alt-tabbing no longer works - Fedora 42 - KDE 6.4.4 - Wayland

I recently installed Fedora 42 KDE and it was working very well.

However Alt-tabbing has suddenly stopped working and I can’t figure out why. When I hit alt-tab the switcher pops up and says “No open windows”, when there are in fact 3 or 4 windows open. Usually some combination of Firefox, Obsidian, Steam, Krita, Tauon. Nothing exotic.

The workspace switcher (super+w) and ctrl+super+arrow works fine. Super+tab does not respond.

Are there any troubleshooting steps I can take to figure out what’s going on? Why Plasma doesn’t see the windows.

Thanks!

Solution:

It was my own fault. A reddit thread led me to the solution:

It turns out I was messing with some task switcher settings earlier and completely forgot about it. I deactivated “Filter windows by:” Virtual Desktop and Activities. And that fixed it.

Settings > Window Management > Task Switcher > Disable “Filter Windows by” options.

Problem solved. Hope this helps anyone who makes my mistake in the future.
