Analog Clock improvements - Plasma Workspace

One oddity I’ve found with most desktop analogue clocks, is that the minute hand doesn’t move until it’s on the next minute. Plasma’s Analog Clock applet is no different. Here’s what I mean:

IRL analogue clocks always have all the hands move with each passing second. I’m actually thinking about making it more realistic, or at the very least, have an option to make the hour and minute hands move every one second, and I’d like to experiment with that.

Here’s the repo in it’s current form: applets/analog-clock · master · Plasma / Plasma Workspace · GitLab

if you are going to do this, you also need to make the second hand sweep smoothly every 1/60th of a second.

However, some settings are a better idea. I remember a clock, though not the name, where I could configure the ‘bounce’ too… and I found generally the best setting was for the minute hand to move every 15s…

For a high CPU version, a smooth hand maybe 1/10th second but I’m not sure about the seconds.

The old railway clock was nice - there were a lot of clocks (cairo?) that had quite a few 3D faces, some had nice glassy shine effects too.
