Another online calendar for Plasma release schedule

As a KDE translator and developer, I found checking the Plasma release schedule manually to be a bit cumbersome, so I’d end up losing track of when Plasma releases will happen and miss the time for submitting translations and keeping releases as fully translated as I can.

The wiki page does provide a Google Calendar and a Phabricator online calendar, but (a) the Google Calendar seems to no longer be updated (I’m also not sure how you’d subscribe to it if you don’t use Google Calendar), and (b) the Phabricator calendar, while up to date, doesn’t seem to provide a link to subscribe to (and the Export ICS button is also greyed out, maybe because I’m not logged in).

So I cobbled together a project on GitLab (.com, not Invent), which periodically (once a month) checks the wiki page to turn it into an ICS calendar file, which can then be subscribed to as an online calendar or downloaded and manually imported.

The ICS file link itself is here: https://plasma-schedule.kisaragi-hiu.com/plasma6.ics

The source code for the build process (and the scraper) is here (MIT): Kisaragi Hiu / ICS for Plasma Release Schedule · GitLab

(I decided to scrape because I don’t know who to ask and what to ask to fix the Google Calendar / make this more official / tap into the release process. I did my best to minimize the impact: the scraping only happens once a month (and every time I push new code, but that’s only necessary if the wiki layout changes too much), and I identify myself in the scraper.)

FYI, this is how you subscribe to a Google Calendar without using Google. It’s in italian, but settings are there:
