AppImages Problems with Effects

Hallo Julius,
Interestingly, the SWH plugins are available in the flatpak version, but not in the AppImage. Is that intentional?

Flatpak and AppImage use different packaging systems, so somehow yes. On the other hand this is a hint that we should be able to make it work with the AppImage too. However as always nobody had the time to take a deep look yet and we don’t have an reliable automated way to test effects yet (which would make me more confident to just enable it and try).

Hallo Julius,
vielleicht könnte ich das machen. Auf Linux und Windows wĂ€re es mir möglich. Ich wĂ€re sehr gerne bereit, Kdenlive auch stundenlang und ausgiebig zu testen. Was genau mĂŒsste ich da tun?

I have found a solution how to insert plugins into AppImages, see here:

@micha I am happy to report that we finally enabled ladspa-swh in the Appimage again! If everything goes well it will be in version 25.12.3.

If you can’t wait for it you can already checkout the nightly Appimage on Index of /ci-builds/multimedia/kdenlive/master/linux

How wonderful, Kdenlive is getting better and better. Thank you!
And AppImage has been very important to me since I switched to Debian.
