when using application dashboard there is not way of sleeping the computer
You can put it there. Just select the Power/Session category in the side bar, and drag “Sleep” to the others. Or right-click and “Add to Favorites” if you don’t like drag&drop. Same for any other power/session action you may want.
I’m not sure about adding it by default - space for the default ones is limited, and competes with space for other favorites. On a laptop (where sleep is the most important), people generally close the lid to make it sleep, so there’s usually little need for a dedicated button in most cases. On desktop it can be helpful, I guess, but I’m not sure it’s more useful than the existing ones.

Yes, exactly. You can do this in Application Dashboard and Application Menu. You can’t in Application Launcher, which handles system actions differently.

Weird. What happens if you try to unfavorite one of the existing buttons?
Do you see something possibly relevant in the system log?
Can you try on a new user account, to see if there’s maybe an issue with the configuration?

That’s not good obviously, but still does not tell us much about what might be wrong. I can’t reproduce the issue (that’s on master, but I also tested this occasionally during the 6.7 development cycle as I worked near those bits).
You can access the system log with journalctl --reverse. Knowing whether it works on a different user account would also be helpful to help narrow it down.
OK, there’s something possibly relevant here (the one with ItemGridView), but right at the end and partially cut off. Seems to be something that happened during drag&drop? I’d need to see that line (and possibly other ones around it), including the cut-off parts.
Disregard this; I can reproduce the error message and it’s unrelated (though it is something that should be fixed).

file might also be helpful, if you’re comfortable with sharing that.

what is being asked is for you to share the contents of .config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc
but it’s a rather large file… open it in kate and use the search function to find the line with
favoriteSystemActions=
it should appear in a section that looks similar to this:
[Containments][100][Applets][352][Configuration][General]
favoriteSystemActions=logout,reboot,shutdown,suspend
favoritesPortedToKAstats=true
and if you have that file open in kate and you make a change to dashboard favorites by right clicking and adding or removing from favorites, it should get reflected there on that line in the file.
i dont have a folder /.config even with hidden files. i have a home/account/.config
