Application menu with right mouse click

Hi

I’ve been using “plasma-custom-desktop-menu” for the right mouse button, but it broke in plasma 6.3.
They would switch to KDE’s own “Application Launcher”.
I can edit this with the “Menu editor” program.
This edited menu appears in the “Application Launcher” and “Application menu” plasmoids as well.

As you can see in the picture, the list what I edited, appears correctly in both the root and submenu in the plasmoid (dark) .
In the right-click menu, only the submenu is good. In the root, the order is not correct. (light)

How can I force the order in the root of the right-click menu as well?

(Plasma 6.30, X11 and Wayland, Arch up to date)

It was discussed here recently ( for example in this topic: https://discuss.kde.org/t/does-a-context-menu-based-application-menu-exist/29211/5,) the desktop right click menu has a will of its own. It will not adapt the menu as set. As far as I know, it has always been like that. Normal menus aren’t a prob.

Thanks.

Yes, I’ve experienced this too. I’ve always avoided it since KDE 4.x. I’ll read the discussion you linked.

In the root section sorts items alphabetically and puts submenus first.
Doesn’t the KDE team want to finally remove this “feature” from the menu?
