"Apply Plasma Settings" in SDDM doesn't work

I am not sure if this is a software bug, so I will post here.

Summary

  • Start systemsettings in Konsole

  • Go to “Colors & Themes”

  • Select “Login Screen (SDDM)” (installed sddm-kcm package)

  • Click “Apply Plasma Settings…”

  • Konsole says:

Cannot find cursor size value; unsetting it
Cannot find scaling DPI value.
Cannot find NumLock value.
Cannot find fontconfig folder.
  • Enter passphrase

  • Receive output: Synchronization successful

  • Log out

  • Expected: There’s a changes on font, wallpaper, cursor, color style

  • Unexpected: Only changes on font and color.

Device info

  • Linux Distro: Arch Linux

  • Plasma: 6.1.4 (provided by pacman, not AUR)

  • Kernel: 6.10.7 (zen)

  • Running on USB (it’s portable)
