Hello,
Running “sudo apt install full-upgrade” I get message about plasma-desktop (among others) being kept back.
Running “pkcon update” I get “Fatal error: The following packages have unmet dependencies:
plasma-desktop: Depends: plasma-desktop-data (= 4:5.27.10-0xneon+22.04+jammy+release+build47)”
What to do? still proceed with update? What’s the implications? somethings to do to clean that message?
While waiting, other packages waiting to be updated are piling up (like linux kernels, linux-firmware and a lot more)
Operating System: KDE neon 5.27
KDE Plasma Version: 5.27.10
KDE Frameworks Version: 5.114.0
Qt Version: 5.15.12
Kernel Version: 6.5.0-21-generic (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: X11
This worked for me. apt - How to fix KDE NEON User Edition errors and update to Plasma 6 - Ask Ubuntu
But i don’t think it’s the best way to do it. (it broke some stuff)
Hi,
I still didn’t do the update because of the errors and the suggestion might or does brake stuff.
So I’m still in kde neon with plasma 5.27.10
I was hoping that with plasma 6.0.2 now out it would stop giving that warning or fatal error.
It did not.
Apt still says that:
libdecor-0-0 libdecor-0-plugin-1-cairo libsdl2-2.0-0 plasma-desktop plasma-desktop-data will be kept back.
Pkcon still says :
Fatal error: The following packages have unmet dependencies:
plasma-desktop: Depends: plasma-desktop-data (= 4:5.27.10-0xneon+22.04+jammy+release+build47)
Will/can this be fixed at the kde neon side (repos or else)?
Is it a know and being investigated problem?
Should I proceed and then install said packages, will it even work or will it break more?
Or what can specifically be done on my side so eliminate this error without breaking the system even more and then proceed with the upgrade?
