Hi. I would like to use KOrganizer’s File → Archive Old Incidences... to automatically archive old items from my Google Calendar (Google Groupware resource). Can KOrganizer archive these items to my Personal Calendar file (iCal Calendar File resource)? Or do I need to specify an archive file that is not a calendar resource?
I assume that archiving items from a Google Groupware resource to an iCal Calendar File resource would require some way for Archive Old Incidences...to archive only the Google Groupware items, and not old iCal Calendar File items. Otherwise iCal Calendar File items would get appended again to the .ics file they’re already in. In the KOrganizer Handbook, I see that File → Export → Export as iCalendar... allows for filtering exported items by disabling resources and using filters. But there’s no mention of whether File → Archive Old Incidences...supports such filtering.
Also, Archive Old Incidences... would need to archive to a regular, uncompressed .ics file.
This seems like something that could easily scramble my calendars if I were to just try it and hope for the best. So if there’s a developer or other expert who knows for sure whether I can archive to a file that is also already a calendar resource, thank you in advance for the answer.
