Hi every one, I did a fresh installation of my ArchLinux system with KDE plasma 6.4, and I can’t bind anymore the keyboard’s alt key to one of the buttons of my mouse.

I have a rescue disk with a “last” updated version of the same system, first installation a few months ago, and it works fine.

Maybe am I forgetting something ? Am I the only one ?

Thanks a lot for your time, sheers, Chris

On my rescue disk, actually, the mapping of the Alt key of the keyboard to button 2 of the mouse remains active, but I can’t assign another keyboard key to another button or modify the first one.

Thanks

Might have been fixed with Plasma 6.4.1:

I did the update to 6.4.1 but it doesn’t work for me.

When trying to press a mouse button (the back and forward buttons, as it worked before), nothing happens or using the back button, it simply returns to the previous page.
I should have explain this in my previous messages. Sorry
Thanks for your time.

On my rescue disk, with the update, my previous bidding is always there, but I can’t bind another key to another button.

Really sorry for all these messages, but I tried something that doesn’t solve the problem, but it’s a workaround to use this configuration in Houdini : I copied the file kcminputrc present on my rescue disk in my newly installed system (it wasn’t there) and it works.
Here are the contents of the file :
[ButtonRebinds][Mouse]
ExtraButton2=Key,Alt

[Mouse]
X11LibInputXAccelProfileFlat=true

No, I have had the same problem recently.

No, unfortunately not.
