The devs for PCLinuxOS are reporting that they cannot port Krusader to our new Plasma 6 installs because Krusader seems to continue to depend on a lot of Plasma 5 libraries.
Are all of the libraries for Krusader for Plasma 6 from Plasma 6?
Have a beautiful day and thanks for so many years of great file manipulations! Have to use Dolphin in the meantime - yuck…
However, I can install it just fine here in KDE neon, since they , and other distros (Kubuntu 24.10 and Fedora 41 for example), can manage to provide the KF5 stuff it needs without conflicting with the Plasma 6 stuff.
Having said that, packaging things and being able to handle this sort of situation is quite complicated and potentially very messy, and may not be something a small distro might want to do, or be able to do reliably and to their satisfaction.
There is always flatpak until the Krusader devs finish porting it.

You are referring to the current master branch of Krusader (which has been ported recently to KF6), right?
The CMake file and CMake output does not show any leftover KF5 library dependencies. However, to be absolutely sure I would need to compile Krusader on a system without any KF5 libraries installed. And for that I would need to setup a VM or Docker container which would need some time.
Can you send me contact information to PCLinuxOS devs so that we can figure out the problem? Thanks!
