Are there any good latte dock alternatives for kde plasma 6 on arch?

I prefer one with animations like mac os

None I’ve found since moving from plasma 5 to 6 last January. There are other threads discussing why people still pine for latte (or cairo-dock before that even), including the animations I miss as well.

I am not a developer, but after 25-30 years doing everything but in IT and have missed dock animations to the point I’ve invested a few weekends with ChatGPT trying to clean up latte-dock code dependencies to compile in my arch, and have gotten it to 93% make, yet still no joy. I’ve been fixing things off and on, and still have got a list of most of the broken dependencies that need updated, but some of the bigger things like reworking ServiceJob to KIO functionality for menus was turning out a bit beyond ChatGPT and my AI-herding ability to keep it from beating its own head into a wall over and over.

My hope was maybe some of the port from plasma5 to 6 wasn’t “too bad” of a learning curve for a personal project, but not being a developer certainly makes the wall more of a time sink than I care for usually. Considering just my beating ChatGPT with a stick harder to prod it in the right direction and getting it compile to some 93% of the way, seems a real developer would probably have a lot easier time of it (let alone an actual KDE guru).

Maybe overly idealistic and ignorant to think so, but I like some tough projects to learn with, so until a real dev takes it up, I’ll keep poking a stick at it as time and curiosity allow to get latte and its bouncing and spinning task bar items back. If any luck I’ll share with the rest of us a patch set.
