I can see the value, I often download archives through firefox and have them open on finish, then after extracting they’ll stick around /tmp/firefox and slowly fill up my ram disk / zram if I don’t remember cleaning up manually now and then.
The thing is, I mostly extract by drag and dropping into a folder opened in dolphin, so I’m not sure where to put a “delete after extract” option for my scenario without ending up deleting archives I didn’t intend to. Similar problem with the quick-extract-dropdown.
For “extract to”, which opens the folder picker, there’s a perfectly fine “options” panel on the right that could be extended, though.
Maybe we can come up with a workaround for your current problems? Like a cron job deleting archive files older than x in a specific folder or something.
