I put together a new box last month and decided I wanted to go back to Linux (Fedora/KDE) after a long hiatus. I have a Bose Companion 5 that plugs in to a USB port. It comes up as Analog Surround 2.1 Output. It works perfectly fine.
The problem happens after the system sleeps. All audio output hangs. I’ve tested Audacious, Amarok, Strawberry, Firefox, and the Sound test in the settings app. It will resume if I unplug/plug in the USB cable or the power to the device. If I switch to another output device, the sound will work on that device, but will hang again when going back to the Bose.
I’m sure I need to submit a bug report somewhere, but not sure where to start. Pointers to where to I need to go appreciated.
I started this box with a fresh base KDE spin of Fedora 41 and now on 42. The CPU is an AMD in an Asrock B850M Steel Legend WiFi MB.
TIA,
Bill
