Audio clip cutting off prematurely

Running Kdenlive 24.08.3 on Windows 11

For my current project, I recorded the voiceover in a separate program, exported it as an mp3, and copied that to my project bin to use in the video. For some reason it cuts off a fraction of a second too early, so I’m missing the last syllable of the last word in the voiceover. The mp3 itself is fine - if I open it in any audio player on my computer it runs all the way to the end, nothing missing. It’s just when I open it in kdenlive that it cuts off. I’ve tried reloading the clip, deleting the clip and then copying it to the bin again, and even opening the clip in a brand new project just to test it out, and it’s the exact same problem each time. Does anyone know why this might be happening, and if there is anything I can do inside kdenlive to fix it?

Did you try using a different format than mp3. Perhaps a .flac file ?

Hmm, can you add a few seconds to the end of the recording so that when the cutting off happens at least it doesn’t cut off your voice?

At any rate, I suggest you open a bug report.

Thanks! I did try exporting the same audio as .flac and it did play all the way to the end like it was supposed to.

Glad you found a working solution. Can you still be bothered to open a bug report with your project file and the offending .mp3?
