I recently installed Fedora KDE on my Yoga 2in1 and everything has been working great so far.
This laptop has a weird quirk: the cooling works best in “tent” mode (all vents have breathing room).
The issue is that, when it’s a tent, it goes into tablet mode. So if I plug in an external display, they are also in the tablet mode UI, even though they’re not touchscreens.
I was thinking of a few ways to workaround this, but none are available:
- automatically disable tablet mode when the touchscreen display is disabled - right now, it stays in tablet mode, even when I disable the laptop screen
- tablet mode indicator with an option to temporarily disable it
- an option to automatically disable tablet mode when docked
- don’t enable tablet mode on the non-touchscreen display (just keep the normal UI on them)
