I want KDE to always start on Desktop 1 after reboot, log out/in but seem like I can’t find the configs or settings to do that. KDE remembers the last virtual desktop before reboot, log out/in so it always start in that very virtual desktop before rebooting, log out/in.
hi, welcome
settings > desktop session > session restore > start with a manually saved session.
would probably be the fastest way to achieve what you want.
I want a fresh session but it have to start in Virtual Desktop 1, that’s what I meant.
Yeah, exactly, that’s why you manually save one and then just use that to start. It should replicate all the details including the display in use.
you save a session the way you want it as a template… then every reboot will put you into that same session regardless of what you had open before you shut down.
so you would set it to start a new session, reboot, then make the change to that fresh session you want always get back to and save it.
then change the setting as i described, it will go back to that saved session every time.
Oh I get it now, appreciate it!!
