Avoiding notifications deviceAdded / deviceRemoved for a specific USB device

Hi ! I’m using KDE Plasma 6.6 on Fedora 43 and a ‘HP USB-C Dock G5’.
The dock just provides power and network via USB-C, no displays are connected to the dock.
While connected to the dock I often receive connect / disconnect notifications for the dock device, sometimes every couple of seconds. It seems to be related to the power consumption as it does not happen in ‘power saving’ mode, happens from time to time in ‘balanced’ mode and happens often in ‘performance’ mode.

This connect/disconnect/power-related problem does not seem harm my daily work and may be due to the fact that the dock just provides 75W power while the Thinkpad P1 G6 wants up to 170W.
So I just want to get rid of the notifications for this device, while still getting such notifications for other devices.

I identified the vendor and product id of the dock and tried to create a udev rule with UDISKS_IGNORE=1
(SUBSYSTEM==“usb”, ATTR{idVendor}==“03f0”, ATTR{idProduct}==“066b”, ENV{UDISKS_IGNORE}=“1”)
but that doesn’t seem to work.
I also tried to use a python script to intercept and ‘filter’ notifications in D-Bus SessionBus, but eavesdrop=‘true’ does not seem to be allowed anymore (get exception org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.MatchRuleInvalid: Invalid match rule)

Is there any other way to block just notifications for this device ?

thanks for any hints, Frank
