Since yesterday (August 1), Sparda Bank no longer accepts TAN method 944 and requires TAN method 946.
I tried to retrieve current data from the bank (iTAN-Modi abrufen), but the new TAN method isn’t listed.
I can’t enter anything manually; I can only select it.
These are my settings for (my) Sparda Bank. Even though I don’t use 946 it shows up in the list. Could well be that your Aqbanking/Gwenhywfar versions are too old.
KMyMoney: 5.2.70-6fd29ceb6 (master as of today - I live on the edge )
AqBanking: 6.6.0
Gwenhywfar: 5.12.1
I just did a transfer and it still works as before. BTW: it depends which Sparda Bank. They are not a single institution and use two different backend services. I am on the Atruvia one.
I just tried it in Manjaro and Tumbleweed with AQBanking version 6.6.0, and it works.
With my OpenSuse 15.6, I’m once again at a disadvantage with the standard repos (as is often the case these days).
In German they say “A…-Karte"
Well, the world is moving faster these days and those banks don’t make that easier with all their cruft.
The next thing is just around the corner (October 2025): VOP (Verification of Payee). It’s something we already had back in the days without SEPA. It happened behind the scenes and the banks took care of it. Now it’s a European thing and the user must be involved (of course just so that he is responsible and not the bank).
Of course, this requires the next (probably) massive change in AqBanking to support it. We will see how this ends. We still have another two months to go.
Maybe, some community packages for AqBanking and Gwenhywfar can help you out.
Thomas, thank you very much for your information and help.
But I actually wanted to avoid the “exotic” repos.
Since Leap 15.6 is slowly coming to an end, I’ll reconsider.
But on the other hand, I also want to upgrade to 16.0, and how that will turn out is another topic.
I’ve done it now, first in a test system, then in live operation.
With each day, there are more and more transactions, which then come “all at once” and before confusion arises in the database… this is probably the “better way.”
I chose “https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/Office/aqbanking” because it offers both Aqbanking and Gwenhywfar for 15.6 and 16.0 (unfortunately, no KMyMoney).
