Bouncing application icon

Hello, me again
Can this bouncing application icon on the right under the mouse pointer be deactivated? I find it superfluous and annoying.

If I search for “bouncing” on my applications menu, almost the first thing that comes up is a pointer to the “Cursors” configuration module of System Settings. From there “Configure Launch Feedback…”.

That said I believe KDE should consider moving on from this behaviour in favour of the “static” notification by default.

Well hidden, I wouldn’t have found it! Thank you very much!

That said I believe KDE should consider... I agree, and five seconds is far too long

Well, on my system it pops up with a simple search on the launch menu, so I would not call it “hidden”

Five seconds is the maximum duration, otherwise the animation should stop as soon as the application is launched.

Dear, there are just differences between a young and an old brain. I don’t find it easy to find in the German menu; I probably would have found it eventually, but it was more convenient this way. Thank you!
But please tell me if I shouldn’t bother the forum with such banalities.

Not at all, I did not want to discourage you or anybody to seek help.

I believe is actually important feedback for KDE people to know which settings or features lack discoverability.

The problem is that in the English version you are quickly and correctly directed to the correct entry if you enter bouncing; but if you enter hĂĽpfend (the German word for bouncing) in the German version, nothing is found. This makes it difficult for users who do not speak English, or do not speak it well, to find the entry. Also, in my opinion, it is not a good idea to put the entry in the Colours and designs section. I would not have expected it to be there, just like systemsounds. I think it would be more plausible to put it in the mouse section and systemsounds in the sound section. But I also understand the considerations of the KDE-Guys.
