I’m having problems with drag-n-drop that occur specifically when trying to drag files from a file manager that’s running natively under Wayland (tested with Dolphin and Nautilus) to Bitwig Studio.
When running Dolphin under XWayland with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb dolphin, drag and drop works perfectly fine, though that’s a bit annoying.
Dragging from Dolphin under XWayland to Firefox under Wayland also works, and so does dragging from Wayland to Wayland.
I’m running KDE Plasma on CachyOS, though I’ve also observed the bug on someone else’s machine on EndeavourOS, so at least it doesn’t seem to be a distro-specific problem.
Does anyone know what causes this, and if there’s a better workaround, perhaps? And would this be worth reporting under https://bugs.kde.org?
