Bugs with Plasma 6

Unfortunately there are many bugs in KDE Neon upgrade to Plasma 6:

  • the main, but yet somehow fixed, lack of log-out, shut-down, reboot from menu.
  • many icons missing
  • Dolphin abnormal behavior in x11 (panels disappear every time is minimized)
  • autokey not working in wayland
  • apps as root not working via desktop menu
  • the crash of root apps even with a workaround
  • not to mention the desktop cube effect: not working at all (and not planned to switch fro virtual desktop)

And probably there are many other…
I hope that developers will soon fix all these bugs, but I would recommend another time not to be in a hurry…

This isn’t much bugs in fact, a bunch are exclusive to KDE Neon unfortunately.
If you want to get them fixed make sure there are reported, discuss is not the bug tracker.

What is autokey here ?

Please report a bug, detail your system in particular what is your GPU…

I’m really sorry this happened. The roll-out of Neon’s packaging of Plasma 6 was unacceptable, and we’ll be conducting an investigation to determine how it happened and make sure it doesn’t recur.
