I have the same issue, I am on Fedora40.
i’m thinking the move from qt5 to qt6 has left all the calendar and PIM software in the lurch.
it may be some time before those things are “working” again as well as they did before, let alone actually become usable.
i’ve just given up on any hope of that under linux and just use my phone to keep track of appointments.
