I’ve been unable to get KDEConnect to work on any of my Ubuntu machines. My Android devices talk to each other and are able to talk to the Ubuntu machines. But when I run the KDEConnect app on the Ubuntu machine, the main screen appears but doesn’t do anything.
When I click on ‘Settings’ I get a blank screen:
If I run kdeconnect-settings from the command line it appears to work properly, but when I run kdeconnect-app from the command line it still does nothing and I get this error:
rich@jru-zt:/usr/bin$ ./kdeconnect-app
qt.qml.typeresolution.cycle: Cyclic dependency detected between “qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/desktop/private/TextFieldContextMenu.qml” and “qrc:/qt/qml/org/kde/desktop/MenuItem.qml”

Any ideas? I’m running Ubuntu 24.10 with Cinnamon desktop. I’ve tried this on 3 or 4 machines and all act the same. I have Manjaro running in a virtual machine just for tinkering and KDEConnect works fine there.
Thanks,
Rich
