I’ve had a few issues on Wayland that got solved by switching over to X11. Recently, I have moved my setup from one disk to another (not sure if relevant, but including it nonetheless), and recently I’ve noticed that I’m suddenly using Wayland.
I have tried searching for solutions, and I’ve seen a few solutions on this forum as well, but none seem to work.
Firstly, I noticed that I didn’t have startx. I installed the relevant package, but trying to start it manually in a tty didn’t work. I also did not get the option in SDDM. I then saw a tip about updating the SDDM config, putting DisplayServer=x11 under [General]. This also didn’t work.
Even though autologin is absolutely not something I want to do, I’ve still checked it, and I only get the option for Wayland here.
I am using Plasma 6.4.2 on kernel 6.15.4-arch2-1 running Arch Linux.
