Can't upgrade to 25.10

When I press the “upgrade available“ button, this is what I get:

I never messed with the system on a low level.

This is a distro specific issue not related to KDE.

But it is a bug that is being fixed .

you can use the following steps to upgrade to 25.10. I did it yesterday using the instructions on the following site on a konsole. https://itsfoss.com/upgrade-ubuntu-version/

One can also manually pull up the GUI for it using do-release-upgrade -f DistUpgradeViewKDE as mentioned here as well as the release notes, using krunner.
