I’d like to suggest an option to center the Kickoff launcher pop-up, similar to the Windows 11 Start menu.
On centered or dock-like panels, the current positioning can feel a bit awkward, especially on wider displays, because the launcher appears tied to the launcher button/panel rather than the visual center of the screen.
A configurable centered mode could improve usability and also make Plasma feel more familiar for people migrating from Windows 11.
How it currently looks:

if you right click on the launcher icon and choose Show alternatives, there is a full screen launcher called Application Dashboard that has a different aesthetic.
perhaps that is more to your liking.
otherwise, the placement seems fine how it is, but if you want it perfectly centered on the screen then you can try and arrange your panel to have the app launcher in the center.
I know, I already tried that and I’m not a fan.
What I’m proposing is basically what the Andromeda launcher already has, but for Kickoff - it works much better for centered layouts:
if Andromeda launcher meets your needs, then why not just use that?
looks nice and symmetric, but would be totally unsuitable for someone with a vertical panel and the launcher in the upper right hand corner, like what i have.
that said, there could be a toggle to center the menu placement on the screen rather than spawn attached to the launcher icon, as it is by default.
you would need to submit a “wishlist” item to bugs.kde.org
I’ve tried, but I prefer the functionality of Kickoff and I’ve also run into some annoying bugs with Andromeda. Kickoff seems more stable.

Exactly, that’s what I proposed - an option. I wouldn’t want this to be the default behavior.

Any other application launcher I’ve tried except for the default one always has bugs.
I haven’t found a single fully working, crash free launcher yet.
Better stick to the default one…
Those launchers are not actively maintained, some maybe even vibe coded.
