ClamTK (including ClamAV)
I have downloaded the GUI app from the KDE Palsma Discovery Store.
The App opens and displays the GUI, and it is working, with a virus database loaded from ClamAV, and can perform a virus scan.
I have automatic updates (for virus signatures) enabled, but see the error message on the update section:
SIGNATURES OUT OF DATE
To update FRESHCLAM (which, if I am correct, is installed with ClamTK) I have tried 3 method to update the virus signatures:
su freshclam
su clamav-freshclam
su killall freshclam / su freshclam
But KDE Konsole does not recognise these command lines for the app.
Would anyone know what I should do to enable Automatic Signature Updates in ClamTK.
I tried looking at the ClamAV document website but became quickly confused.
Also, the internet seems awash with a myriad of conflicting fixes, so I am not sure if this App should be working out of the box, or if I have to somehow configure things in the Konsole.
am new to Linux from Windows, and not that ‘tec’ savvy to be honest!!!
