Does anyone know what this means?

This appears when I open a slightly older project with the new version 28.08.2 or 24.08.3.
Most of the time there is no problem if I then simply click OK. But there were also situations where Kdenlive could no longer be started. The error was a vidoe filter: Vignette. If I had removed this with the old version of Kdenlive, then the new version could also open this project without any problems.

I just saw this today when starting up my project in 24.08.3. I have never seen it say “fixed” without user input until today.

Hello @barry Do you understand what the message means?
What does fixed mean?
What black?

black means that this is a black color clip (maybe the internal background track). Fixed means that Kdenlive it automatically.

Why this happens is something I can’t tell out of the blue, but might be related to 493486 – Kdenlive crashes during Building sequences portion of opening project

Hi Julius, thanks for the info. The funny thing is that I had a project that could not be started with 24.08.2 and 24.08.3 because of this error message. The startup process stopped at about 60% and Kdenlive simply crashed. Then I wanted to find out more and opened this project with 24.08.1 without any problems and without an error message. There I removed all possible effects until I found the error: Vignette, directly on a video in the project bin. Resetting it didn’t help, I had to delete Vignette, then I was able to insert it again in the same place. Then there were no more problems with the latest versions 27.08.2 and 24.08.3

I didn’t get the “black” message (just ‘fixed’). Mine said something about the location of the file or something instead. I did not take note of it. No problems opening up & working on my project, thankfully.
