Configurable left click on window borders

I absolutely hate when I try to move a window from the titlebar and accidentally resize it. It would be super nice if I had the ability to make left mouse click on window borders move a window instead.

Yes, I know you can hold Super + left click, but some times my left hand is busy or it is not in a comfortable enough position for that.

As for resizing, that is always better done with Super + right click anywhere, instead of trying to snipe a few pixels.

Coming from more powerful window managers like openbox/fvwm, where you can do this, it breaks my flow when it happens.

under window behavior you have a lot of options for what you want to happen when you click on various parts of a window with different mouse buttons.

under title bar actions, you can set the left click to “do nothing” for both active and inactive windows, and you will never have this problem again.

under actions, you can also set the behavior of META + mouse button combinations

The desired setting does not exist under window behavior (we are talking about borders, not window).

I do not want to disable movement using the title bar. I use that. Please read more carefully.

I have already set the Meta + mouse buttons. I want mouse buttons without Meta.

your choice is to use meta or disable left click altogether if you don’t want it to grab the window.

the middle ground you desire does not seem to exist sort of you compiling the window manger yourself from source code that you have modified to provide what you want.
