So this new laptop that can be pre ordered is indicated as KDE Slimbook VI in most Linux media (KDE Slimbook VI – A Powerful Laptop for KDE Enthusiasts - OMG! Ubuntu ) but in Slimbook store it is named different ( KDE Slimbook 16 AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS) but is the same device? https://slimbook.com/en/shop/product/kde-slimbook-16-amd-ryzen-7-8845hs-1467
Then again Phoronix stated (the same device?) as “6” https://www.phoronix.com/news/Slimbook-Plasma-VI-Laptop
I’m totally confused on how to for example state the model for this new laptop for those wanting to get into Linux
What am i getting wrong here? Why the apparent many “different” expressions for same device?

I would say the official name would be KDE Slimbook VI. Here VI refers to the sixth generation of the KDE Slimbook model. When 16 is used it is referring to the screen/body size of 16 inches (the older generation models were also available in smaller 14 inch size, but unfortunately there is no smaller size for the new generation models yet)
So it’s not clear at all, then, Some would say otherwise
Either way, the device cannot be found from the Slimbook store with that indication:
This must be totally confusing for consumers.

Your link leads to this page as well, so there has been an edit, I’d say.
Plus the main page mentions IV and V
Though there doesn’t seem to be a model line using roman numerals. But the ones that are seem to indicate that 16/15/14 is the laptop size.
Yes they’ve edited / fixed it now! So there it is, the issue was important to be raised.
It can be astounding why these type of basic things like working searches on specific devices on store are not double checked in the first place.
