Could not find the kdenlive_render application, something is wrong with your installation. Rendering will not work

Just installed the Beta last night [Kdenlive 23.08 beta available], all looking okay until I try to render a project, then I get the following message:
Could not find the kdenlive_render application, something is wrong with your installation. Rendering will not work.

I’ve tried re-installing etc, but till get the message :-/

Any ideas?

Thanks
Ian

Those issues are already fixed. You can use the nightly builds if you’d like to do some testing.

Hi frdbr,
Thank you

I’ll do some testing…

Many thanks
Ian

Downloaded the nightly build and all good.
Trying to sign up for the bug reporting but it’s not allowing me at the moment… Have come across a consistent crash when I try to install third party transitions… Even though it crashes out the third party transition seems to have installed.
Just thought I’d let you know.
Thanks
Ian

What are they and where do you get them from?

In the effects/composition stack use the download arrow/button.

Ok, I see. KDE Store then.

Does it give any error message? If you start the appimage from a terminal you may get some more information about why it crashed. This will help in troubleshooting if you open a bug report.

I’m running under Windows 10 x64. Not error message as such, just a " Not responding" dialogue in the download box. Then a complete closure/crash.
Sorry I can’t give anymore info or diagnostics.

You also have a terminal in Windows  It’s called cmd.exe

I am sure you can start Kdenlive from there and get some more information when the crash happens
