Crash when ticking/unticking Show Record Controls on the audio track

Hello,

I am quite new to Kdenlive. I have seek the forum and the bug report but I cannot find mention of my issue.

I can reproduce it everytime with the following steps:

  • Open Kdenlive
  • Press New project… button
  • Press Ok on the Project Settings window
  • Right click on audio track on the time line and tick Show Record Controls
  • Right click on audio track on the time line and untick Show Record Controls
  • Right click on audio track on the time line and tick Show Record Controls

Then it crashes.

If I do not play with the buton (I tick once and don’t come back to it) it is Ok. So for now this is a kind of turnaround.

Using: Kdenlive 25.12.0 with Windows Windows 11 Professionnel
Laptop Dell: Intel(R) Core™ Ultra 5 235U (2.00 GHz)

I can confirm this also exists on 25.12.0 Flatpak and appimage 25.12.0-B on Pop!_OS. Please open a bug report. Instructions are here.

Can confirm same behaviour here on MX Linux

Actually I saw this the other day but didn’t report it. Essentially the same process but activated differently. I activated it in the Audio Mixer. I clicked on the Audio Monitor (MIC) icon. Doing it 3 times does the same thing.

It seems the issue has been fixed in Release 25.12.1

I have no more the issue after updating to 25.12.1
