Create new entry in dolphin filled with home directory

I am Fedora 41 (KDE) and messed today somehow my dolphin up. So far I was unable to fix it and now looking for help.

When I use dolphin and select “Create new” from the context menu, it is filled up completely with entries from the home directory instead of the usual ones. This makes it practically unuseable as finding the entry for creating a new folder is well hidden.

Seems like I somehow added all my files from the home directory as template for the system. The usual findings on the new like “.local/share/templates” or /usr/local/template does not contain any suspicious entries.

Anyone an idea what I might have activated or from where these entries are coming? I just want to have the default behaviour in dolphin to create a text file and a folder, no other templates.

It is a know bug, see Bug in Dolphin "Add new" context menu - KDE Neon 24.04

This is 494679 – Dolphin populates "Create new" menu with the content of home dir. It’s fixed in Frameworks 6.8.

Thanks for the feedback. Wasn’t expecting a bug as I thought it was working right after the upgrade. But resetting the path via systemsettings seems to solve it. Many thanks for your help!
